• Class D Cat 5 Cables - limited to 80Vdc

• Connectors - RJ45 are rated for 250V/1.5A

• Thermal limitation – max current in a single cable = 350mA

• Use of 2 wire pairs

Safety & Cost 

• Levels below 60Vdc are considered Safety-Extra Low Voltage (SELV)

• Maximum channel resistance = 20Ω (at100m horizontal cable, patch cabling, connectors & connecting
